In the context of the burden of disease and the need to promote health among the Malawian population, Health Communication for Life in 2016 embarked on a 5-year social and behaviour change communication (SBCC) project to support the Malawian government’s effort to expand access to sustainable health services.
UNESCO launches the Early and Unintended Pregnancy Campaign
UNESCO launched a campaign to reduce Early and Unintended Pregnancy (EUP) in Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA) on 20th June 2018 during the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Ministers of Education Meeting in Durban, South Africa.
Our HIV prevention work has involved partnering with Genesis Analytics to apply the HIV prevention cascade approach using programme data from sex workers in India, and we are now applying a similar approach in Zimbabwe in collaboration with UNAIDS. In South Africa we have collaborated with Avenir Health and the National Department of Health on a review of Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) data to inform impact modelling.
